Welcome to the home of GB Wheelchair Cue Sports. The idea of an 8 ball wheelchair association was first thought of by multiple wheelchair world champion Aslam Abubaker around 2010 but he was never able to get it of the ground. To put his plan into action he approached Gary Walker a friend from his home town Leicester in 2021 with the idea of putting on a regular tour covering the 2 main rule sets within 8 ball. With Aslam's ideas Gary helped him get the ball rolling in January 2022 with events split across the year at The Towers in Mansfield.

The tour initially started small with 8 to 12 players but has now grown to over 30 wheelchair users within its first year and also has the backing of both the English Pool Association & English Blackball Pool Federation. Through this backing the national teams for England wheelchair players is now drawn from the tour, plus we have players from Wales and Scotland who use the GB tour to aid them for the respective national team.

The vision going forward is continued growth within Great Britain and hopefully into Europe with annual competitions involving wheelchair players from close European neighbours.

As a group we'll be continually looking at ways to promote the game of 8 ball to all interested wheelchair users throughout Great Britain.
